Actress, Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Chelsea Royce Tavares, a native Californian, was born September 22, 1991.Nominated for Outstanding Young Performer in a TV Series" by the Young Artist Awarsds.
Chelsea currently stars as "AUTUMN WILLIAMS", the beautiful aspiring model and love interest of Jordan Lewis (Lil J.J.) on Nickelodeon’s hit TV series "JUST JORDAN" (2008 Nominee by NAACP Image Awards). Chelsea also stars as the popular, sassy, Fashion Means Everything "Cranberry St Claire" a series regular with great comedic timing on Nickelodeon’s hit TV show, "Unfabulous".
At age 10, Chelsea landed the principal lead role of "Young Nala" in Disney’s Broadway production of "The Lion King" at the famed "Pantages Theater" in Hollywood, CA. directed by Julie Taymore.
Guest starring on TV shows such as "The District" and "The Practice", she has also appeared in numerous national commercials from Burger King to GAP including the, "Resse’s’ Peanut-butter Puff Cereal" playing the role of Lena who stars in her own music video!
Music is her Passion! An experienced solo & background vocalist with great pitch, control, tone, and an excellent ear for harmony, the singer/songwriter is working on her own CD. Her first music video is entitled "Don’t Waste My Time".
Chelsea is featured as the best friend in Keke Palmer’s music video, "All My Girlz" a special feature on Lionsgate’s critically acclaimed "Akeelah and the BEE" DVD. Chelsea is featured as guest vocalist on the CD "Open the Door" at the personal request of internationally renowned artist SHENKAR (Passion of The Christ- composer, /Heroes-Featured vocals).
When not on stage, in front of the camera, or in the recording studio, Chelsea loves the outdoors, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. It is her desire to be productive in the entertainment industry, as well as in society, as a positive role model and considers herself as blessed to have the opportunity to do what she loves most.
