Chelsea playing at Acoustic Alliance in San Diego, CA

Chelsea Genzano was plucking out tunes on the piano by the age of 4, teaching herself to play guitar by the age of 11, and performing in coffee shops and bars at only 13 years old. Now Chelsea is bringing her gift of soul to an all too often bland world of acoustic music. She's not your average "folk-singer" by any means, mixing reggae, hip-hop, soul and jazz tendencies with the simplicity of your mama's folk music. Her guitar playing ranges from soft folky finger-picking to aggressive hammer-ons. Her lyrics are frighteningly honest, and her voice blows open the doors to any venue.

Chelsea has opened for artists such as Melissa Ferrick, Patty Larkin, Edie Carey, Kris Delmhorst, Catie Curtis, Jess Klein, Pamela Means, Rachael Sage and Ember Swift and has performed at such renowned venues as The Bitter End in NYC, Acoustic Cafe in Bridgeport, CT, and the SoNo Arts fest in South Norwalk, CT.
