Yo people, the name is Steven but the alias is Chatterbox I been on my indie/lyrical/acoustic guitar mixture of goodness since maybe summer last year, maybe before and I’ve come along way. Before all that I dabbled in hip hop which I got a huge influence from. I love my football, bit of a drinky, my girlfriend, singing from time to time, boxing, cricket, I’m a bit of a movie buff aswell, and a music buff to be honest, all of it…from 60’s onwards, don’t test me haha. If you want a more formal bio read below, but lemme know what you think of the music and keep listening!

I was born in East London, started making music when I around 16 started writing some lyrics, I was heavily into hip hop and took that route and got given a heap of sampled beats including a song I made called “Why You Wanna Argue” which sampled the Al Green classic, Let’s Stay Together. This song was the first song I was proud of and was sent out to a few pirate radio stations. In my “hip hop days” I was invited to be on Freeze FM on the DJ Shock Hip Hop Mix Show and did a show with DV8 at Stratford Circus in early 07 that I partly help put on. This show was hosted by Bushkin from Hearltess Cru and I performed with Ears, No-Lay and Jai Amore.

After the show I gained a bit of interest from some important industry people and that spurred me on to make more music. I then met up with some marvellous producer and I changed my music route, and style to suit me more when I realised I could ACTUALLY make the music I wanted to. I also worked for a couples of labels such as Atlantic Records (Gym Class Heroes, Lupe Fiasco) and EastSide Records (Natalie Williams) to give me more of an incite into the industry along with City Showcase 2007.

I then turned to a more indie vibe with my music, more acoustic riffs, an accent more “me” and an influence from ska, rock and everything else. From this new found route I got picked out of thousands by the Bandwagon.com A&R to b in the last 20 of a talent competition called SoundClash sponsored by Yamaha. There was scheduled to be a live show final but it got scrapped for some reason so that was a bit crappy. Since then I have been writing my ass off, meeting with top-class producers that you can find on the top friends and making my music! Watch out cause after a brief rest, I’m back making more tunage, cheers people.
