Charlotte Overman

Well first things first. Im Charlotte Overman. Yes, I am Charlotte from Charlotte. My personality is a mix of a little bit of everything. I am very outgoing. Laughing hard is something that I must do every single day. I love anything with bright colors or leopard print. I love huge black and white portraits. I think I'm some what addicted to chewing gum and I bet I can blow a bigger bubble than you can! (bad habit). Candles and perfume make my room smell like heaven. I love shoes, sometimes I put them on first and dress accordingly.
My friends and family mean the world to me, with out them and their support for my passion I would definately not be where I am today. When I am not in the studio, or writing songs, you can usually find me at an upscale clothing boutique called Lotus. This is where I work as a wardrobe stylist. I have two small dogs, a girl and a boy: Barbie and Chewbacca. They are PRECIOUS.
Here is my story:
I have always considered myself a singer. Its just something that I have always known that I was supposed to do. I didnt really know where or when, I just knew I was supposed to sing.
When I was 16, I met a Nashville producer at a local audition. He invited me to Nashville to work with him. While there I cut my first professional demo. The demo was just okay but not all that great, probably because it was my first time in the studio! Or, maybe because it was pop and I am meant to sing country! But, I learned a lot and it was by far the coolest thing I had done in my life up to that point. After some really exciting talent shows, local performances and meetings with record companies, I finally listened to the labels and my heart and started singing country! In November of 2007 I met up with another amazing songwriter/performer/producer. I went to his Studio in Raritan NJ and cut my second demo of 3 orignal country songs. Recording original music that was written for me to sing really made all the difference in the world! Creating something with your own stamp on it is an amazing feeling!
I am currently getting together a good mix of songs including some of my originals to post on this myspace page. If all goes as planned, I am going to start performing locally so be on the look out for Charlotte Overman! I will keep you posted! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my music!
