Charlie Rapier found his musical niche by writing and performing songs from the heart. Blending folk, rock, and country, the Native Texan’s original music relates to all generations.

Some have compared him to Jim Croche; others to Elton John. But there is no mistaking his unique harmony of piano and guitar, which has allowed Charlie to emerge as one of the most distinctive and notable musicians in the southwest.

Charlie has had the honor to join the same stage as legendary artists including Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard and Hayes Carll. He has also opened for The Randy Rogers Band, South Austin Jug Band and Jason Boland and the Stragglers.

His latest songs entitled Moving On, Red, and Tears From New Mexico bring out some of Charlie’s best work to date. These songs can be found on his first debut album entitled Single Malt.

Through middle school, Allen High School and Texas Tech University, Charlie performed in many different ensembles and began to find his sound. While at Texas Tech, Charlie joined a group entitled Thursday Night Live, an ensemble at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas where he was exposed to blue grass and country music. These two styles of music are the latest addition to Charlie’s original sound today.
