There is a sea of heads that reaches into the sunset. A sea of bobbing heads from building to building - just a cobblestone road made of heads covering the streets of Norrebro (Copenhagen). Over 40,000 Danes and party goers from around the world are in attendance through the weekend. And that body of inebriated cerebellums is ready for a show. Eight o’clock on the dot and without missing a beat, J-Ro (of Tha Alkaholiks) announces. “straight from LA. Chalice Serrano!!!” Start the cheers and whistles, “We love you Chalice!” peeks from the chaos. Perfectly tousled red and black hair and sunglasses. Shiny silver skin-tight leggings, a half cut leather jacket, gold-trimmed sneakers, and a curvy five-foot-three Chalice appears from the crowd, brings the microphone to her lips before jumping onstage and asks the zealous funkbabies. “ARE YA’LL READY TO PAAAAAAARTY!!!!”
So the party begins

Chalice Serrano left to the UK in April of 2010 to return weeks later, after her shows in London. Instead, she flew stateside months later after adding dates in Berlin (Germany), Copenhagen (Denmark), Lund (Sweden), and Helsinki (Finland). This is the first time she commanded crowds of this size on her own.
“The big crowds are the most fun. I don’t think there is any feeling like it in the world. It’s like driving my own roller coaster with the whole audience in the seats in front of me. I flip, I get to see their reaction, and feel it simultaneously. It’s really dope,” says Chalice.
Experiencing Chalice Serrano through her music and her stage performance is truly a ride. The listener feels her energy, spunk, and sass. The spectator, sees it first hand. Chalice embodies Los Angeles street, womanly class, and a timeless youthful energy in her music, performance, and personality. Here’s what some had to say:
“She is one of the hardest working women I have ever met. The most dedicated, outgoing, enthusiastic, and extremely talented. Her music sounds like no other with her own style and sound. Chalice Serrano is bound to be a star. I love her raw street style, yet smooth and classy sound."
-Sergio “Flacco” Sanchez KUUU-FM U92 Promotions Director/On Air Personality
“Beautiful Chalice can do it all.sing, dance, write great songs and she has a killer live performance. Things are about to heat up!!!”
-J-Ro of Tha Alkaholiks
“. very creative songwriter and a beautiful singer, that has style and swagger, and will put a big mark on the industry. Her approach to writing is second to none with a voice to match. Chalice is a throw back performer of yester years with a now flavor.”
-Popin’ Pete from The Electric Boogaloos
“Having worked with Chalice Serrano for many years, she never ceases to amaze me when she comes into the studio. I have never had a singer stop me in my tracks. She will paralyze you when you hear the beauty, power and raw emotion coming out of those vocal chords, you have to listen!!!”
-Derek Keith of DK Studios
Audio Engineer/Producer
Chalice’s biography is a letter to her reader:
If you didn't know CS before this brief introduction that you are currently reading, I am happy to welcome you to my world and friggin' thrilled to be a part of yours. I do my best to take life in with every breath; open arms and an open mind. Life is for the living… and I am ALIVE! I feel alive. And I LOVE IT! I'm the kinda girl who has been through the pain, the down and outages, the "Oh my God! She’s having a baby at 18", the homelessness, bad relationships, spiritual battles, and financial struggles… but I'm also the girl who's experienced the "Oowee!!! I met the most AMAZING guy" phone calls to my girlfriends, the crazy midnight escapades, the blessings, the promotions, that acceptance letter in the mail to go to college, and my daughter’s giggle when she’s hiding under the bed in the morning. All of these moments are my inspiration in writing music.
"Music is your own experience, your thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn."
-Charlie “Yardbird” Parker
It is still only the beginning of my journey and I have already been so blessed. I started off with featured songs on the gospel album “More of Him” on XFM Radio in 2005 and have since skipped into the Rhythm and Blues, Hip-Hop, Pop/Electronic genres working and rocking stages with artists including Journey’s lead singer Arnel Pineda, Filipina singer Rachel Ann Go, MySpace Records new artist Mateo, Pacific Division, Talib Kweli, Mad Lib, Snoop Dogg, Game, E-40, Digital Underground, Wildchild of The Lootpack, J-Ro of tha Alkaholiks, Strong Arm Steady’s Phil Tha Agony, and the Cali Untouchables. Classical training has allowed me to have performed in such historic places as St. Paul's Cathedral, Canterbury Square, and Notre Dame, but flavor landed me at major league sports events; college campuses including University of Southern California, UCLA, and UCSD; and clubs around the United States and overseas in UK, Scandinavia, and mainland Europe. Currently, I am part of MySpace Records Friends and Family and have EVERY intention to make that list a mile longer.
So, here’s what I think. Remember mom n' pops always saying too much of one thing wasn't good for us??? I get that. What I’m saying is…. I want it ALL! Balance is key. Know yourself and project it. And. let go. I say SCREW the "I wish I could"…"I want to be"… "I want to do"… "I wish I was"… And just be. Feel the "real world" and "your desires" collide and exist there. Be ballsy, intelligent, successful, exciting, beautiful, fun! I be.
