San Francisco musician Cassandra Farrar, along with the support of her Band
the Left Brains, brings to life, in a fusion of folk/pop/rock sounds,
Cassandra’s lyrical diary.
Born and raised in SF, Cassandra began writing poetry at the early age of
10 as an emotional outlet that transcended into song lyrics when she
learned to play the guitar in the 7th grade. What started out as a
mandatory music curriculum turned into a passion that she wanted to share
beyond the classroom by releasing a CD of originals songs that she shared
globally through You Tube and performed locally at cafes and pubs for those
to enjoy and relate to.
Shortly after her high school years, Cassandra came into contact with Chris Mayrena of Hyper Raje Records. There, along with Dave Demuth they began
collaboration on her 2nd CD and the final teaming of her band mates the
Left Brains, came together.

Mike Lichtenfeld (keyboard).
Cassandra, now 20 is also a fulltime student studying biology in the Central Valley. Her lyrics often reference her other passion of medical science, mostly about her fascination with brains and the mind alike. Her musical influences are Jewel, Tristan Prettyman, and Matt Costa. Her sound is often compared to that of Regina Spektor and Meiko.
Cassandra Farrar and the Left Brains are proud to release their debut CD as a band, “Hello My Name Is…” Though just starting out, they are always excited to meet new folks &share their music through live performances locally and eventually globally.
