If there was one thing that Casey knew since she was only a child, it was that songwriting was in her blood. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 5, and started taking voice lessons at 9. She had a great knack for music, and at the age of 11, she began writing her own songs about topics far beyond her years. Since then, she has had nothing but passion for writing all styles of popular songs across a variety of genres. She started writing pop, and then began to branch out into jazz, funk, blues, rock, r&b, and most recently, country.

Casey started to gain attention for her writing in the summer of 2000 at the Eventide Arts Festival where she was a finalist in their annual songwriting Contest. She has been a finalist there several times since then, and even won third place in 2006. She won several awards for her writing and musicianship throughout her time in high school, including first place in the Ultimate Recording Studio Contest in 2004. Her time in that contest sparked her interest in recording and engineering, and on February 4, 2006, she released her debut album, “Black & White.” All of the proceeds from the album were dedicated to the Brittany Brouillard Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Since the release of the album, Casey Meredith has turned her attention away from performing, and deeper into the writing and business side of music. Her time at Berklee College of Music has motivated her to become a successful songwriter and most recently, Berklee’s songwriting department recognized Casey’s talent for songwriting, and she won the “Performer/Songwriter Contest” in December of 2007 as well as the Jack Maher scholarship award in May of 2008. Casey has been pursuing her passion for songwriting at Berklee since 2005, and she hopes to establish her own publishing company in the near future.
