Carson Taylor Alexander is originaly a native of Texas, being born in Dallas.
At the age of 2 he was brought to Memphis, Tennessee. Growing
up in Memphis, the "home of the blues" and "birthplace of rock and roll",
he was exposed to a great variety of music at a young age. Picking up the
guitar at the age of 11, Carson realized what it was he wanted to do with
his life. He has been playing for live audiences since he was 13
starting on Beale Street, a famous music strip in his home town of Memphis.
Carson moved to Austin at the age of 15 after the suggestion of famous
Austin music man, Clifford Antone. Cliff took him under his wing and gave
him the oportunity to meet many of his heroes and learn from a rich music
scene.
Carson is now working on original material and playing the club scene of
Austin regularly. He is also playing lead guitar and singing harmonies in the Bleu Edmondson Band touring, currently, throughout the United States. His influences include well known artists such as Stevie
Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, The Doors, Creed, Jimi Hendrix, Jonny Lang, Jeff Buckley and many local musicians
of Memphis and Austin. Learning from any form of music from classic blues
and soul to heavy rock, metal and current radio pop/rock.

-Music Article by Brandon Wix on Carson Alexander:
When I stepped through the door, the floor was sticky and the cigarette smoke battled the fresh air at the threshold. The floor, from aged patronage, and the smoke from the aging blue collar lungs. As I approached the short tender at the long bar, I caught a peripheral sized helping of the letters "CTA" on an old, worn down, barely still black, Fender. My focus back at the beer on tap, I opened my mouth to exercise my choice beverage. Breaking any lager communication that was about to take place, was a scream of angst like I've seldom heard, and never in this exact way. It rattled me, but I shrugged it off as another "open mic hero". Before I could finish any self diluted satire in my head, I felt the chords of "Back Door Man" pulling at the insides of my half assed, stubborn ears. Lighting a cigarette while my beer was being served, the sequel to the scream hushed the entire bar with it's loud command. "Five to one baby, one in five. No one here. gets. out alive". At that point, I started to believe him. Playing it " cool " was no longer an option for me. I made haste with the barstool in front of me and blew out a cloud of Marlboro mist. As the smoke rose to the rafters, I focused my attention on the baby faced, seemingly whiskey drowned voice that was now so loud it must have been harpooning the neighborhood. Quickly my ears grew mute with distraction of the "fret chopping" that was not handed, but pushed upon me. The cover song, no longer a matter at this point. The way those hands worked over that guitar like a surgeon on speed, was something my eyes had never seen at that bar, or any venue for that matter. Up and down the neck, the Fender was being jockeyed like a steed of good stock, carrying him to the finish line of The Doors. The cigarette of mine, that had already burnt to a stalemate, was laid down by my beer as I started to clap. My applaud was unusual for me, but very usual for that moment, as no one in the bar knew exactly how to praise a young man who's age could only be guessed at. The kid could blast on vocals like Morrison, and rip a guitar to jigsaw bits like Vaughan. if he wanted to. Most of the time though, he's just fine with tearing down jaws like Carson Taylor Alexander would, stonecutting his way to becoming an Austin Icon.
