Based in Utah County, Carlos Cornia evolved a musical style unlike anything out there. Dubbed "mountain-grown-reggae" by lead singer, Jimmy Kayihura, Carlos Cornia’s sound combines reggae rhythm with rock and world elements fused into one solid groove. A meaningful message mixed with dynamic vocals has earned C.C. a solid and ever growing fan-base. With standout tracks like “Revolution”, “Old man” and “Coma” it’s clear that Carlos Cornia is no respecter of genre. This versatility allows them to appeal to people from all walks of life, Reggae fans and non-Reggae fans alike.
Carlos Cornia has made a splash in Utah's Reggae scene with their energetic live performances, opening for the likes of Steel Pulse, Lee Scratch Perry, Mishka, Pato Banton, Sister Carol, Fishbone and Easy Star All-Stars just to name a few. With the recent release of their debut album, Stand Up and Be Counted, the band looks forward to breaking new ground and touring in support of the record.
