Captain Trips

We are Captain Trips. We hail from Newcastle and aim to deliver you music which sounds awesome. We appeared out of no where in early 2006 and have since errupted in what can only be described as a musical cocktail from all our various influences. We began life as a freshly inspired foursome with a revitalising sound with our first EP ' Deafened By Silence' in may 2006. Then, with the departure of our first guitarist (Richard Harding) in winter 2006, we powered on as a 3 piece band, playing large and smaller intimate shows persistently until we funneled every ounce of effort we had into our next, energetic, colourful EP ' Nightmares and Narcolepsy' in November 2007, including the immensly popular tracks "Talk To Me" and "Carrie". After a much needed break for a month, Captain Trips got back on the performing scene mid december that year. After playing our backsides off for the next year, improving and gelling as well as creating and showing off on stage, we managed to knock out a low budget demo in autumn 2008, geniusly titled 'The Captain Trips EP' and as if that wasn't enough, we decided to knock out another cheap demo since. In January we recorded our 'Everybody Panic' EP. Then, out of nowhere BOOM! There was Steve! Formed completely of enthusiastic and incontravertable guitaring talent, he joined the Captain Trips boys as we welcomed him with arms wide open. Now locked and loaded we aim to be produce our next 5 track masterpiece in november 09, as well as play every show that anyone cares to thorw at us. Our mission is to entertain you until we fall over or die.
