Born and raised between Brooklyn and Queens, this 23 year old self-taught musician is well respected by some of the biggest names in music. From the hard hits of hip-hop, to the mellow flows of R and B, Canei has made a name for himself in the many genres of music. Starting out playing the piano at age 12, Canei then moved on to making beats by age 13. He is now a producer, songwriter, and mixing engineer. Since signing with Sha Money XL (Money Management) in 2006, Canei has had a number of commercially released records; including "Dumpin" by Tupac, “Niggaz will Change“ by Young Buck, "Coast to Coast" by Young Chris, “Uptown” by Consequence, and "Last Time I Checked" by Gorilla Zoe. Canei also works closely with world famous producer Just Blaze, soaking up all the musical techniques he can and collaborating on some of the biggest projects in urban music. These collaborations include "Live Your Life" by T.I. ft Rihanna, “Tell Me” by P. Diddy, “Help is Coming” by T.I., and “American Gangster” by Jay-Z. Canei has also produced eight tracks on the video game NBA Ballers 2008
