"Brimming with self-assurance and killer tunes, it is hard to resist these beautiful noises” – AmericanaUK.com

In the recent past Cameron Clark was known as the southpaw lead guitarist for MapleMusic’s soulful rock’n’roll band Lovemethod, and with Toronto mainstays The Urban Street Scandal.

While spending his nights onstage pummeling notes through an old Fender amp, Clark found himself countering that by whiling away his days plucking Nick Drake-ish melodies on an old beat up acoustic. Little did he know that he was subconsciously laying the groundwork for the honest, heartfelt songs that would later come to light.

"For the first time in my musical life, nobody will tell me I'm playing too loud," laughs Clark, reflecting on the acoustic undertones that make up a good portion of the six songs found on his debut EP, This Dark Season Is Reborn.

"I like to call it country-soul with psychedelic leanings," says Clark.

In 2007 Clark joined Get Bent Records, and has now added a ‘commune’ of sorts by his side, which includes fellow Get Bent musicians Abel Renton and Dan Reiff. The band takes Clark’s songs to another level, adding psychedelic overtones and a dynamic rhythm section to their live performances.

Cameron Clark and The Commune can be seen playing in and around the Toronto area, and have just started recording their sophomore release, under the working title of Siamese Connection.
