One artist has stepped out from the mass of MC’s that have oversaturated Southern Califonia’s music scene and with a versatile flow and songs that appeal to both men and woman, Cali Bear is poised to take his music to a new level of success.



Cali Bear was raised in San Diego, CA and grew up with a love for hip-hop music; his early influences included both local and mainstream MC’s. As he grew older he began to believe that he could create music on par with his musical idols and in fourth grade Cali wrote his first raps. As he continued to move through school, Cali found himself concentrating more and more on his music and practicing his style of flow. Cali also showed his first signs of entrepreneurial skills, as he and friends would organize Rap Contests in their school’s lunchrooms. The Rap Contest’s would give Cali his first exposure of rapping for large audiences and the response he got was very positive as his class mates and teachers told him he had a an amazing talent for creating and performing music.



As Cali grew older and entered High School, he got his first real exposure when he uploaded songs onto his Myspace page and began gaining listeners from not just San Diego but all over the world. Although he was only in High School, Cali realized the great tool that Myspace was and he began to cater to his fans through his page, which in turn established a great fan base. Although he was developing a great fan base online Cali also realized that he still needed a presence in the streets and he immediately began surrounding himself with females who acted as a street team for him, bringing his music everywhere they went and constantly speaking his name any chance they got. With his fan base growing every day Cali began appearing on a number of other San Diego based artist’s songs and found himself performing at a number of local venues. All of these achievements led to Cali being chosen to have one of his songs featured on the very popular San Diego based radio station Daygo Jerking Hour.



As his buzz continues to grow, Cali Bear continues to appear on fellow artist’s projects and has begun planning for the release of his highly anticipated debut solo album. Cali Bear’s versatile music that has both male and female fans nodding their heads Southern California it is only a matter of time until Cali Bear takes his music to a new level and has fans world wide enjoying his versatile soon to be classic music.
