Cain Da Breth - the name is in old irish and it came to Damonica in her dream. It means approximately "the song of the two sayings". We prefer calling our musical style an "acoustic doom metal" to being labelled as "celtic folk" or "neofolk".

The foundation stones of the band are Damonicas' own lyrics and music and Samuel Hains.' conviction that she shouldn't sing solely in the shower. And also our friends who asked us to make a gig. The first one was in the autumn of 2003 on the mediaeval castle Tocnik. At this point the band was nameless and consisted only of Damonica and Samuel Hain. As the performance was a success, other gigs soon followed. During one of them – in the Spring 2004 – Vasek Polivka has joined the band spontaneously. In Summer 2005 Cain Da Breth – already as a trio – recorded their first demo consisiting of three songs (Moonligt Tune, Black Birds, Moon Reflections) which show various tints of the band's music. Jan-Matej Rak, the famous czech guitarist, accepted the invitation for creating some guitar magic on the demo. In Spring 2006 the band's line-up was finally completed by Léan Cobail on violoncello.
In November 2007 we received the unique offer for co-operation with the great guys of Plugged Records studio, Vienna, which we used in January 2008 for two recording sessions. In August 2008 then finally our long avaited CD Sanas was released.
In November 2009, due to Léan' s work engagements, the band has asked and excellent violoncellist Petr Janek for co-operation.
Cain Da Breth performs usually in Prague and surroundings in pubs and clubs, but also on various social events, openings of exhibitions in museums and galleries, on mediaeval fairs, castles and other unusual places.
