BYBLIS delivers a bloody package filled with fast and brutal hate anthems. Headed by merciless and awesome vocals, this DEATH METAL unit combines old school influences with more recent technical riffs. Their live performance leave an unforgettable scene of destruction.
Byblis was formed in bottrop, germany in 2005 by long time fellows of the german (metal) underground. The band started as a doom and black metal influenced death metal band whose first three track demo, recorded in the absence studios in dortmund 2006, was highly acclaimed in the german underground metal scene as stated by many positive reviews in different e-zines and the popular german metal magazine “legacy“.
After the first live gigs in different parts of germany, which turned out to be quite a success for the band, they also acclaimed a reputation as an extraordinary live act.
A year later in 2007, the first line-up change took place on the drums. Haunted by the constant will to push the envelope, the bands musicianship continuesly increased. According to this, Byblis turned their darkness driven sound into a more powerful brutal beast, which is still structured by rememberable killer hooks.
After a steady rise of popularity of the band, unanticipated personal circumstances forced the band to cancel all live activities and leaded to a sudden stop of the band's success in 2008. Nevertheless, the band spent the time to write new songs and to record a handful of the new material in the CKB-studio in essen at the beginning of 2009.



And now, Byblis is ready again to continue its death-bringing conquest - more powerful than before
