Everything started in 1989 when Ramzes & The Hooligans broke up. The guitar player BURAK decided to form a new punk band: Bulbulators. Along with the old friends he set up the line up so DZIOBATY became the singer, TIC- TAK became the bass player, and LANDRYN sat behind the drums stool. In March 1991, BULBULATORS played the first gig in Silesia. The gig ended up in a big fight with local residents. In this big fight become involved a big fan of the band, IGLAK. After this show, the drummer LANDRYN was replaced by NYNEK, and the band carried on playing local shows in Silesia. At that time BULBULATORS played mainly covers of bands like the Clash, the Ramones, Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, Sham 69, Lurkers, Boys and Slaughter and The Dogs. In 1993 the band had a short break, because their drummer NYNEK joined the Polish Army and DZIOBATY, the singer, quit. In the meantime, TIC-TAK played in another punk band called ROZBIERZ SIE. Finally, BURAK reformed the band with a new line-up, so except the bass player and the guitarist, they started playing with IGLAK on vocal and ADAS on drums. With the new members they began to work on their own material. In 1997 they played a lot of shows in Silesia and more and more punks and skins came to their shows. BULBULATORS began to play outside Poland, in the Czech Republic and Germany as well. In 2000 they entered the studio to record their debut album „Prawdziwe Zycie” ("Real Life”). The album was released by Enigmatic Tapes and received mixed reviews. Soon after recording this album TIC TAK went to work abroad. In May 2001, PAWEL „GRUBY” (Skampararas, Plastelinowe Chelmy, C.S) became the new bass player. The band started work on their second album, „Nie Nie Nie”. The album was released by POP NOISE in July 2002 and received great reviews in Polish zines. „Bialo czerwoni” – the football anthem appeared also at „Wykopmy Rasizm ze stadionów” - anti-racists compilation (Jimmy Jazz 2002). Bulbulators play more and more gigs supporting bands like the Business, Menace, Guitar Gangsters, Angelic Upstars, the Exploited. In February 2003, drummer ADAS went to Italy to look for a job and a better life. He was replaced by MIREK, Sensitive Rat, who had already played with BULBULATORS in the past In May 2004 they played a very well received show in Lodz together with Casualties. At the end of May, they went to play at the Punk Festival near St.Brieuc in France. In August, Bulbulators entered the studio in Boguchwala to record their 3rd album ,,Punkophilia,” which will be released in Janurary 2005. In August 2004 their first album „Prawdziwe zycie” was re-issued on CD by Noise Annoys. On the 5th of September, Bulbulators played a storming gig at Punk Aid Festival in Prague along with Menace and Goldblade. In November 2004 they supported 999 at the show in Warszawa. The band is playing non stop around Poland and expect more and more gigs. The year 2007 brought a brand new Bulbulators album „Aut Punk Aut Nihil,” which delivered 12 new songs including two covers (The Ramones „Today Your Love Tommorow The World” and Niebiesko- Czarni „Mamo nasza Mamo”). After recording the album, the drummer Rat decided to leave a band. He was quickly replaced by Kondi from The Pils. After a short break, Bulbulators played a lot of shows across Poland and visited some new countries like England and Germany. They played a couple of gigs in Hungary and had a chance to support U.K.Subs and The Vibrators. In October 2007 German’s magazine Ox reviewed their last studio album and gave them six points.- not bad. In the near future Bulbulators will play more and more shows everywhere.
