Infectious rhymes and unmatched charisma are just the foundation of the unified sound brought to you by the Budhite(BOOD-ITE) Knights. This band of brothers that Budha brings can best be described as an eclectic array of artisans entering ennoblement. Through all their trials and tribulations the Knights have continued to develop their craft and now is the time they will be heard.

The modern-day Budhite Knights were founded in 1996 at Piscataway High School and dubbed the Blunt Kids. The Blunt Kids were formed by current Knights, Danjah and Sleeze, who at that point in time had no idea how the group would evolve and expand. One year later, no longer children, the Blunt Kids made the transition to Blunt Kings. Real recognizes real and as their reputation grew so did the number of members. Everyone wanted to be a Blunt King because of their unique approach to the streets. There was one problem; the whole “king” thing was becoming saturated throughout urban America. Rather than be grouped with everyone else, the Blunt Kings decided to be innovative once again; and change their name, this time for good, to the Budhite Knights.

The Budhite Knights are considered by one another to be family brought together by their love of hip-hop. Their monikers are Breeze, Danjah, Lady O.G., Misjif, P.O.P., Sleeze, Supreen, Tank, Yung Budhaville and Yung Ty. Danjah is considered to be the leader of the Knights, vigilant and perceptive, his mentality is unmatched. Danj’s insights are legendary, this backbone of the Knights said, “move like a body, each member play they part.” His brother Misjif is the live wire of the crew; no one knows what he may be up to next, hence his mischievous moniker. But his anger-energy delivery and constant shout-outs to the Budhite Knights demonstrate his raw power and dedication to his crew. P.O.P., considered to be the loose cannon, is currently the “silent knight”, you may not see or hear him but his position in the troop remains on lock. Sleeze is known as the chameleon of the crew due to his extraordinary capability to adapt to any situation or beat. “Say Blood’s thicker than water right, but nowadays niggas get me vexed, wet like I just stepped off of a water ride. But I ain’t the one to lie, run duck and hide…” Supreen functions as the organization’s corporate apparatus, overseeing the financing, manufacturing and marketing bases. He adds his interminable education to the mix, equipping this conclusive conglomerate with their representation of a consigliere. The roundtable takes your through the everyday hustle of the street stuggle.

The Budhite Knights have been in and out of booths around the tri-state area for the past 8 years. Their tracks range from the street smash “Out There, Over Here” to their club banger “Gangsta Party”, from their song about the bitches, “Coon Coon Laudy” to their song for all the real ladies, “Knight-n-gale”. Not only have these songs along with others wielded them an ever growing street following, but it has also won them such accolades as Best Hip-Hop Group at the New York International Music Festival and Most Original Rap Duo/Group at the Underground Music Awards.
