Bruise Violet was an all womyn latina four piece punk/hardcore (PANOCHAKORE) band from South East L.A We started BV together around 2003. We released our first demo in 2005 called "Bruise Violet Puts Out: A Sample". We titled the demo that because we heard girls put out so we decided to put out as well, but as a band. . .music (ha!). That same year we were kidnapped (literally) one weekend by Condenada. But within those three days we developed Stockholm Syndrome. We fell in love with the beautiful womyn from Chicago and together we toured the west coast, mid west, east coast & Mexico over the next few years.
On December 18, 2009 Bruise Violet played their last show at Chuco's Justice Center in Inglewood. We have 5 unreleased songs but currently only 2 are recorded.
