Kadeem Ahmand-O’Berry also known as Broadway The Governa born in Bronx New York November 13, 1988 raised up with 4 other brothers and sisters, mothered by Yvette Rivers, a young British woman, and fathered by Robert O’Berry who was born in Brooklyn. Yvette a young woman coming from London, England married Robert despite he had four other children and gave birth to his fifth child, her first. Broadway the youngest out of five was known to his family as a street walker, and an independent child, had no choice but to fall in love with Hip-Hop, growing up in the Mecca and in the "Golden Age" of Hip-Hop (Early to the mid 90's). Growing up in the North East Bronx (Gun Hill, Baychester, Grace Ave, White Plains, Boston Rd,) was like any other time in New York in the early to mid 90’s, filled with heavy drugs and violence. At a young age Broadway moved to Baltimore but he and his family moved around between New York and Baltimore every year after the first move that he was going through life experiences not only at a young age but at a rapid pace. His parents split up when he was six, his brothers and sisters left when they where in there teens. Broadway who was still young at the time had to realize times were going to be harder then ever, but he was taught to be strong, a leader, an entrepreneur, a hustler and a survivor, but a passion was in him since he was younger to become a performer, Hip Hop was growing him, all his brothers and sisters loved hip hop, it was all over the house even his moms and pops was a fan of hip hop back then. At eight, Broadway started writing rhymes about what was going on in his eyes and his surroundings, from living between 2 cities, and encountering with so many people and being a young black kid living in the 90’s, to just writing about life. During his junior high years and with his street walker mentality he started to get in a line of trouble, and went through up’s and downs all the way to his last year in high school. In 2005 Broadway and Kidd friend/producer started a force to be reckoned with OFF THA EDGE, which they felt if they wanted make a statement and get on the scene they had to do it there selves, that same year Broadway teamed up with friend/manager Rome of GROUP HOME MANAGEMENT, to show the world that he is definitely bout his business. Now Broadway has mastered his craft and he plans to take over the game his way, by bringing a new sound, an off the edge sound, his sound. Teaming up with B-Mores finest and his universal swag it's like the best of both worlds for him. Now it’s his turn, skies the limit for this charismatic artist as he goes on his campaign to bring back Hip-Hop and to clean up the rap game and bring it back to its creative golden age it once was.
