Broad Daylight

Hailing straight from Montreal, Broad Daylight is a band known for their innovative style and intense live performances. They create music that shows their dedication and love for it. Combining influences from rock to pop to punk and more, Broad Daylight fosters a sound that is uniquely their own.



Since their inception in 2008, their exceptional work ethic speaks for itself. In six months time, they write all the songs needed for their first album and meet up with producer Gauthier Marinof at Studio Piccolo. When the time to name their first EP arrives, the decision to call it "Broad Daylight" is an easy one since they are in the process of defining their sound and ultimately, themselves.



With the end of the year closing in, they release their debut album and their first show to a sold out crowd in one of Montreal’s finest venues. Broad Daylight starts 2009 with the honing of their on stage performance by participating in various contests in which, they win many first places or advance to the finals. In the process, they gain recognition by many, such as CHOM Radio Station, which had this to say, “It is no surprise that they placed first in a contest against 16 bands, Broad Daylight is definitely a band you want to keep a close eye on!”



The boys believe hard work pays off and they eventually obtain proof when they receive an offer to tour across Canada for two months after only a few shows since their formation. Obtaining a tour across 24 cities so early in their career is an impressive accomplishment especially when they land the headlining position for the Quebec part of the tour.



With the New Year at their doorstep, the group adopts the stage as their second home and plan for their next album to reflect that. The goal is to create high-energy tunes that will make everyone want to move all night long! In short, Broad Daylight is determination, passion and intensity. Furthermore, expect the name to be on the lips of many people soon!
