   9 Days Down Band Bio:

9 Days Down are an exciting new band formed around three band mates from the late nineties underground metal titans Deadbolt.

The "Bolts" (with Mr Charisma Martin Gillett on vocals) achieved a decent level of success in the day, playing with many cool bands (One Minute Silence, Breed 77, Kill To This, Kilkus, Miocene and Earthtone 9 etc.) and getting loads of good reviews in the metal press.

After a few years away from gigging and recording to focus on a music teaching career, James Tyler decided to see if the infamous Herbert brothers (Peter and Simon, who had remained busy playing in numerous bands and teaching) would be interested in working on some tunes he had written. They were and thus the bombastic riffs and screaming leads of Mr Tyler now had the meanest rhythm section in all of London to back them up.

The line up was completed in late summer 2005 with the recruitment of Grant Stacey on vocals. A relative newcomer, Grant has a great voice that can go from a ferocious death metal roar to hardcore to thrash to classic true metal in an instant.

9 Days Down were complete.

2006 was an eventfull time for 9DD, after a binge of successfull gigs they whipped up a huge following in Southend & other areas (Loughton Especially) and were generally accepted by "most" audiences.

It was decided in July '06 that 9DD would start work on their Debut Album "A Sign Of Things To Come" enlisting the help of Luke Rayner for recording. The Album is sounding really heavy and exudes true British grit!

So onto March 2007, 9DD have finished recording the Album, Have Appeared on the Total Rock Breakfast Show & have a sleugh of Gigs & Festivals lined up for the Summer.

So please keep an eye out for us in the future!
