Brian Dellinger has been writing and recording his own songs since the spring of 2003 and came onto the live circuit in Tempe/Phoenix in 2005 when he had his first gig ever and only gig as "bitch bastards," with local Mesa band, Broken Robot, led by his longtime friend, Elmo Kirkwood. Soon after, in the fall, Brian started playing every Monday night at the Yucca Tap Room receiving much praise for his unique and catchy melodies that he came armed with, seemingly to most, from out of the blue. He started bringing Elmo K. with him, and together they made the Yucca Tap Room a hot spot once again for fresh and young talent. During all of this, Brian recorded his first full album of original material called, "Vague Sense of Threat." Containing many of the first songs Brian ever wrote, it was stuffed to the brim with thick, layered vocal harmonies, and uninhibited melodies. Brian had started playing with Elmo more and more, whether it be jamming, recording, or learning shitty songs to laugh at, and then they were inspired by a news story they had seen about one of their old friends who had stabbed two other boys while enduring a meth-induced hallucination. They decided to write an album about it, and that was the finalization of the partnership that would very soon spawn the well-known band, "Kirkwood Dellinger." Their first album entitled, "Beast Boy," has been regarded by many as an amazing landmark in originality and undeniable pop-genius. This orchestration would soon be interpreted by added members Brian Boyer, Ken Ezell, and a while after, Chelsea Dellinger. They immediately slapped people in their faces not only with songs that couldn't be pinned to one specific style, but the ability of every band member to rotate positions on stage, and play two, three, or four different instruments per show. Since the fall of 2006, Kirkwood Dellinger has played over 80 shows, and continue to impress with their recordings as well as live shows. Their most recent recording, "Miniature Stallion," was completed in June of 2008, and as of June 24th, available to purchase on the Kirkwood Dellinger myspace page.
