Brett Younker is a worship leader and songwriter based in Atlanta, Georgia. Brett’s heart is for people to see and experience the fullness of God in their lives. Inspired by the words of A.W. Tozer , "Whatever comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us," his desire is to lead people to know God and respond to the greatness of who God is and what He has done.

Brett started leading worship in high school thanks to the encouragement and challenge of his youth pastor to use his gifting to change the world. He continued to lead in various places around the State of Georgia and South Carolina. After graduating college he moved to New York City to invest his life as a worship leader at the Gallery Church. In the summer of 2007, Brett moved back to Atlanta to lead worship for various churches, student ministries and conferences such as North Point Community Church, North Metro Church, Encounter (a Bible Study of over 1,000 students at Auburn University) and multiple Student Life Camps.

Currently, Brett and his wife, Aynsley, are a part of Passion City Church, in Atlanta, where he serves as one of the lead worshippers.

In 2008, Brett released his debut record, This is Life, produced by Jason Hoard (FEE, John Waller, Shane and Shane, Elevation Worship). This record includes songs like “Savior of the World,” “Love Love,” and “As You Are.”

Brett has co-written songs with many up-and-coming voices in the worship movement. In 2009, Kristian Stanfill released “Alive and Running” on his sixstepsrecords (Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Passion) debut record, Attention. Unhindered (an Atlanta-based worship band) released, “We Need Your Love” on their record, Be. Eddie Kirkland recorded “Bless Your Name” featured on the North Point Live record, Awake.

In June of 2010, Brett released his latest record, The New Has Come, co-produced with Christian Paschall (Unhindered). With strong themes of God’s power to restore the brokenness of this world, Brett hopes this record is a source of encouragement to people as they walk through the ups and downs of life. Release Day, The New Has Come reached #3 on the iTunes Christian and Gospel charts, sharing the charts with friends and fellow Passion City Church worship leaders Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Kristian Stanfill and Christy Nockels, on the album, Passion: Awakening. “All Things New,” “King Forever” and “Yes To You” are few notable original songs from the record that encourage the believer and offer hope in the midst of a fallen world. It also contains new anthems for the church including, “Our God,” “Rise and Sing” and “Arms Open Wide.” Musically, The New Has Come offers a fresh perspective in the sound of worship music. Brett’s prayer is for these songs to move from just another album on the iTunes “New and Noteworthy” section and into the hands and the heart of the Church locally and globally, as we see how God is restoring all of creation.
