As a teenager Brandon Lepere was voted Junior Male Vocalist of the Year by the National Country Music Association. Shortly after winning this prestigious award, Brandon took himself off of Nashville’s radar, until recently. Although grateful for his early success Brandon says felt he felt a need to discover his own musical identity before pursuing a full fledged career.

At the beginning of 2008 Brandon returned on the scene, this time as a seasoned professional. After years of making his living playing the clubs and creating his own unique style, Brandon decided he was ready to share what he had been up to with some friends in Nashville. The results were immediate and positive. First, Brandon received an invitation to perform on CMT’s weekly program Billy Block’s Western Beat which was followed up with a showcase performance at The Cadillac Ranch on Broadway, in downtown Nashville. Brandon’s back up band for this show was led by a trio of studio aces known around the Nashville music scene as “The Three Kings”. Brandon’s next break came when “The Three Kings” hearing something special in Brandon, offered to produce Brandon. The result of that session can be heard at BrandonMusic.com, and has been turning heads and winning hearts ever since.

Long recognized in the northeast by audiences and peers alike as an incredible talent, Brandon is currently poised to share his special brand of music with a much larger audience. Some have labeled Brandon’s style as ‘crossover country”, feeling it will have appeal to quite a varied group of listeners, Brandon himself simply calls it, “contemporary” country music.

While known for his incredible, heart felt vocal performances, and ability to connect with his audience, true fans and insiders also know Brandon as a “monster” songwriter. Evidence of this is that Brandon recently scored big by winning first place at the Hollywood Music Awards in Los Angeles, California. Grammy award winner Bill Champlin, of the group Chicago, and Will Champlin were Brandon’s co-writers on “Now That We’re Falling”, a song with that won in the POP/R&B category. Earlier in the year “She Drives Me Country”, the title song for Brandon’s new CD secured a place as finalist in the country category of (ISC) International Songwriters Competition, and “Highway To Yesterday” another song from that CD received an honorable mention in the 2008 CMT/NSAI songwriting competition. It appears Brandon’s decision early on to take his time and find his own musical identity is paying off in spades.

Influenced by everyone from legends Hank Williams and Waylon Jennings to John Denver, Keith Urban, Tom Petty and of course The Eagles, Brandon admits ‘rock and roll’ also played a large part in his musical journey. “When you play the clubs I have in Boston, you’d better be able to rock.”

When asked about dreams and ambitions Brandon says, “I have a great love and appreciation for the roots of country music, we all owe such a huge debt to those that have gone before us”. “ I believe that those those folks expect us to pick the ball up and move it on down the field, just as they did, that’s what I’m all about.”

Brandon Lepere is an artist that many insiders feel has “all the right stuff”! As one long time industry professional said after hearing Brandon’s latest studio effort, “ Brandon’s sound is refreshingly new, fans of music everywhere are going to love him”.
