BRAND OF FREAK originated in Arkansas formed by Bobby Henson, (lead guitarist). After a couple years,and band members later, he hooked up with Nate White formally from AVARICE out of Springfield, MO. He knew without a doubt,Nate was the right man to front the FREAK SHOW. Nate's lyrics, and on stage antics gelled perfectly with what B.O.F. was about. They then found their thunder, and blazing foot work in Matt Browning, former drummer of Public Assassin. Filling up venues with fat bass lines all the way from Dallas, Texas to Springfield, Missouri was Eric Smith formally from Sour Mash, and many other bands. Brand of Freak has shared the stage with the following national acts: HED-PE, WICKED WISDOM, INDEXCASE, METAL CHURCH, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, NDE, OTEP, DAYSEND, SCUM OF THE EARTH, BRAND NEW SIN, M.O.D, CRISIS, POWERMAN 5000, DRYKILL LOGIC, FIVE BOLT MAIN, ALSTON, INVITRO and STATIC-X just to name a few. Self-titled, full length LP, produced by Jim Wirt, reknowned for his work with Incubus, Snot, and Sevendust, coming August 2011 to all digital retail stores.
