B-Phraze, is an American hip hop artist. As a graduate of Tennessee State University, B-Phraze has utilized his degree in mass communications by working for local tv stations, but never imagined that he would one day be broadcasting his rap skills. At the age of 12 after watching the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for the first time, B-Phraze began his rapping career after memorizing the shows theme song the same day. It wasnt until his junior year in college when B-Phraze began to take rap as a possible career option after putting together a locally produced CD that captured a glimpse of his college experience. After graduation the B-Phraze came back home to indiana where he and his cousin YPJ went to work putting out mix cd's, and developing a fan base. In 2005 he released his first solo project entitled "Stay Tuned". The song 2nd Letter from that album, delivered B-Phraze a first runner up spot, in the hip-hop category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest that year. In the summer of 2007 B-Phraze released his second project, which was a Mixtape called "For Entertainment Purposes Only". One reviewer of the CD said "I prefer B-Phraze's remixes versus the originals to such tracks as Jay-Z's Lost Ones and Kanye's Can't Tell Me Nothin". While others say, " All 20+ songs are

ipod worthy" and "B-phraze in 3 wordsA LYRICAL GENIUS". Later that summer, B-Phraze teamed up with another cousin "Million" to do a video parody of the song "A Bay Bay". After being featured on Allhiphop.com the song accumalated nearly 30,000 views in the first week out and proved to be an instant hit. The song grabbed the attention of radio DJ's internationally giving Phraze a new level of exposure. The video led to the duo signing an agreement with Comcast On Demand, in which the network would play the tag team's videos nationwide. It also caught the attention of Jack Olesker (creator of Power Rangers), who was in the works of starting a new cartoon called "Hip Hop Fables". B-Phraze landed the lead role of "Macky", while Million landed the role of his sidekick "DJ Zee" and YPJ was chose to produce the score music for the series. The show is currently in the pilot stage and being shopped to different networks. Since then, along with Million, B-Phraze has released 3 more videos on Youtube. The largest to date, with over 2 million views, is a parody of the TI song "Whatever You Like", which earned the 3rd best parody of 08' award from Jump Off TV.com.

Phraze has wrote numerous songs, been featured on various projects and performed at events nationwide, proving to be consistent as a artist. B-Phraze has landed his music in print, radio, and tv airwaves across the country. His music is considered controversial by some and a God send by others but one thing is for sure; his thought provoking lyrics and style will make sure that you "Stay Tuned". He is currently working on his newest project, tenatively titled "Bars and Tone".
