BOMSHOT is Boston’s most controversial independent underground hip hop artist. A Boston native, he grew up on the tough streets of Mission Hill, Roxbury. As a fatherless child, Bomshot’s militant, rebellious style of music reflects his gritty struggle through life. From surviving multiple stab wounds, to dealing with his mother’s sudden suicide, to being in and out of jail over the course of eight years, Bomshot not only is from the streets, but he prospers in them. Bomshot made his first appearance in 2003 on the "Omnipotent Records Presents: Era of the Titans volume 1” compilation. This album featured hip hop’s finest independent rappers such as: C-rayz Walz, Virtuoso, T-ruckus, and Jus Allah of Jedi Mind Tricks. After suspicions arising around shady dealings with Omnipotent, Bomshot and fellow label-mate, Jus Allah, left the label to form a new duo. Bomshot was featured on three songs off of Jus Allah of Jedi Mind Tricks’ debut solo album entitled “All Fates Have Changed,” which was released by Baby Grande records in 2005, distributed by Koch, and sold over 10,000 units its first year. Immediately after the Baby Grande release, Bomshot followed up with a mix tape entitled “Kill ‘Em All,” which included an array of collaborators, such as Wu-tang Clan member Gza, Dipset affiliate Agallah, Shabazz the Disciple, The Arsonists, Edan, Jus Allah and many more. With the powerful lyrical content on the mixtape, the well respected features, and the consumers’ rabid hunger for raw music, the mixtape sold over 20,000 units independently. Bomshot’s track “Get Hype,” featuring Dipset’s Agallah, was his first vinyl single. This track reached 3 on the CMJ rating charts, and sold astonishing numbers. “Get Hype” did well on the charts, being played on college radio stations nationwide, as well as certain mainstream radio stations around the world. Although He has performed with well known artists such as Nelly, Swizz Beats, Fabolous, The Roots, The Wu-Tang Clan, and Jayo Felony, Bomshot has firmly established a name for himself. If evidence is needed simply Google Bomshot, or notice the close to 7 million hits and 40 thousand prescribed users to his website: www.bomshot.com . The Devil’z Rejects was a group that he established with Jus Allah. Their album “Necronomicon” featuring the Gza among others, which the Source magazine compared to Gravediggaz, sold 60,000 units. Fans are still anxiously awaiting a sequel. Bomshot’s first solo album released in stores worldwide, entitled “Abomination,” sold 15,000 copies with virtually no promotion due to his incarceration at the time. “Abomination” features a vast amount of Wu-Tang affiliated artists, such as: the Gza, Holocaust, 12 O’clock, Method Man, Bronze Nazareth, as well as Big Shug from Gangstarr. Bomshot is a veteran of the touring industry. He was on the very 1st Jedi Mind Tricks tour: “Violent by Design.” This is one of the most well known underground hip hop albums and sold over 100 thousand copies independently in its first year. In 2009 Bomshot took part in 2 major west coast tours. The first was the Cappadonna “Slang Prostitution” tour which hit 12 cities and featured Papa Wu, the Holocaust, and Killah Priest. The second tour, visiting 10 cities, was Killarmy Presents: Dom Pachino “Tera.iz.him.” Not only was Bomshot a performer at these tours, he also managed and booked the venues from across the country as well as promoting his appearance on the Tera.iz.him LP. Currently Bomshot has signed a deal with Clear Label records, the record company owned and run by Tajai of Heiroglyphics. The tentative first album to be released on this label is a self titled Warghosts, which is Bomshot and The Holocaust, of the Wu-Tang Clan. Another of Bomshot’s upcoming ventures is with Akon’s Partner in Cocaine Konvicts: French Montana. He will appear on songs on the newest Coke Wave CD as well as on the upcoming Cocaine City DVD. You can even catch a glimpse of Bomshot in a cameo appearance in the Ben Affleck directed movie “Gone Baby Gone.” Click the Album Cover Image to Order Your Copy at Amazon!
