BLUES OLD STAND with EBENEZER JENKINS
Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s heatin’ up down south, and the Blues Old Stand crew are headin’ out West.
After a couple years of living and recording in New Orleans, Nashville, and Birmingham, and touring throughout the Southeast, Dave P Moore and John Mark Turner had a fateful meeting and subsequent conversion late one moonlit night on the backroads of Bullock County, Alabama. It was on this night that the road-weary musicians were introduced to the mysterious Ebenezer Jenkins, a faith-healer and musical alchemist, and baptized by him early the next morning in the Little Colorado River.
After finishing some outstanding dates down South, including Birmingham’s City Stages festival where they shared the bill with the likes of Buddy Guy and Ben Harper, the trio plan on making their cross-country pilgrimage to the Rev. Jenkins fortified compound in Ft. Collins, Colorado. On their arrival in early August, the group plans on spreading their new message of Harmony and Sound across the state, from Denver to Telluride, and all points in between. Along the way, they will be joined by many of their musical and spiritual brethren, making each show a unique experience in itself.
We hope you enjoy the digital representation of the trio’s sound and vibe which we have enclosed.
