     Blue Jupiter was accepted into the Pennsylvania Arts Presenters Showcase in Pittsburgh! The date is May 28, 2009. PAE is a showcase opportunity for Blue Jupiter that allows us to perform a sample show for all the theatre booking contacts in Pennsylvania. This is big news, as this is Blue Jupiter’s first attempt at getting a showcase. To be awarded one on the first try really speaks highly of the band!

     In other Blue Jupiter news, we just finished a long weekend at SingStrong A Cappella Festival! The event happened in Reston, VA at South Lakes High School bringing together over 200 performers for 4 concerts and 20 masterclasses. 100% of the money from SingStrong go to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, to support the fight against Alzheimer's Disease. The event was a HUGE success overall. Check it out at SingStrong.org or on Myspace or Facebook if you're interested!

     After headlining at the Sands Casino in Macau, China, Blue Jupiter- the winners of the original "Oreo Milk and Cookie Jingle Contest," continue to perform to sold-out theatres and clubs across the globe. You have likely heard Blue Jupiter on the radio as the voice of Oreo Cookie and countless spins on college radio stations throughout the U.S. The group continues to expand their international notoriety performing in Okinawa, Japan; Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Macau,China; with appearances scheduled in England and Spain in 2008.

     Blue Jupiter is the winner of “Audience Favorite” and “Best Arrangement” at the Harmony Sweepstakes two years in a row. All three of their CDs "Ear Candy," "Scattered Flurries," and "Live in New York," have won the praises of many critics, some calling Blue Jupiter "The next shining star of vocal music!"

     Look for Blue Jupiter touring across the country with one of the top Arts in Education programs for music. Their program, dubbed A Cappella University, is a collection of classes, workshops, and public performances that teach audiences about the importance of music education, arts in education, and the history and principles of a cappella music.

     During the months of November through January, Blue Jupiter presents their holiday show: "Scattered Flurries." The Scattered Flurries tour features traditional carols like "Oh Holy Night" and "What Child is This" and up-tempo performances of contemporary holiday pieces like "Mary did you know," "Jingle Bells," and "Are you Ready for a Miracle." The Blue Jupiter Scattered Flurries Holiday Show is more than a collection of great music, Blue Jupiter incorporates fresh humor and dramatic moments through sketch and song to give their audiences a show they will never forget.
