BLUE IN THE FACE

Blue In The Face began with just the guitar and voice of Derek Morris. What started as a solo endeavor quickly grew into much more. Derek's smooth tenor vocals and textured chords balanced with his diverse and unique songwriting style, provided for both catchy and complex songmanship. This all laid the foreground for his work with several incredible musicians. Among these were the bluesy voice and accomplished piano/keyboard playing of Amanda Morris, the incomparable percussion/drumming skills of Drew Morris, and the skillful bass guitar of Curtis Welton.
The music of Blue In The Face flows from simple acoustic to pop to electronica. The band would become an underground sensation with an incredibly supportive and dedicated fanbase, and win several online spots as "Top Band", "Bad of the Week," and on. Still, it was always about a love of music and sharing that with their audience. After several successful side-projects (BMB, A New Ending, and Self-Made Martyr), Derek Morris finds himself full circle.guitar, voice, and song.
