My name is Julian Turner also known in the music world as DJ Blenz. I have started a campaign movement called Music Emancipation, a movement that pushes for better diversified formatted radio stations, more effective music video stations, and major social networks with billions of people in their database to get more involved and put the millions of dollars that they made from signing all of us into their databases to form better radio/video stations. It gives me nothing but great pleasure to introduce to you a new way of making change in the music industry by means of strategic campaigning and a new attitude for a people to help themselves as well as others succeed in their endeavors. Whether you are an up and coming rapper, singer, songwriter, musician, label, manager, radio station, or established in any of those categories, this strategy is a new way of thinking and doing to improve your situation as well as the music industry as a whole. Music Emancipation's whole model is based on people in the music industry wanting to improve their own situations and further on to do something about the existing problems that we all face in this crumbling industry. No one is exempt from these challenges that we face today and worst is yet to come unless we change it. Whether you are established and hot on the radio or trying to just simply get heard, we are all in a business that deals with investors that want returns on their investments. This movement will make a difference on how you think and approach the music industry because we separate the typical "industry" mentality from a mentality of wanting change. Here at Music Emancipation, We believe that in order for change to take place, a person has to want to change themselves. We also believe that there is always a higher level that any human being can obtain, meaning that, no one is ever too big or wealthy to want to strive for more in life. We agree here at Music Emancipation that the usual way of thinking and doing things in the music industry has to be separated from a vision and clearer perspective to understand why the problems even exist. Here at Music Emancipation, our platform is to petition and cast votes for improvements, have meetings on existing situations that are occurring in the industry, have industry showcases in areas that lack proper, structured showcase events, hear suggestions from participants to improve things, Educate and inform people with current information regarding the "as it is" state of the industry, and change our situations and attitudes for a better industry. Here at Music Emancipation, We know that the amount of effective talent overall has declined overall in today's climate. But we also know that if the good hard working musicians are not being promoted and pushed enough, that results in a lack of good skilled artists out there on the forefront to set examples and make a difference with the future of musicians to follow. This is why Music Emancipation is very keen on structure. We believe in separating the good from the bad, the weak from the strong, and the open minded ones from the ones who still want the same old politics we’ve been dealing with for ages. In the past 19 years, I’ve had the opportunity to dj and work with industry names like Waterbed Productions, 23 West Productions, Jade Management (MJJ RECORDS) and Best of the Block. I have worked for production teams that sold millions of records worldwide. Over the years I have secured good solid relationships with a lot of industry vets and I still stand here wanting a change. So if you’re tired of the same old same old politics of the music industry, want to do something about your situation, have been affected by poor promotion or album sales, want to educate and motivate others, want to petition for change in radio and music video promotion, want better industry structure, and want more diversity and identity on the stations you listen to then, I'd love to hear from you. If you want to improve your current situation, I would highly recommend becoming a member of the movement. You do not have to be a member of our movement to petition, but becoming a member shows that you are on the route not be a follower but a leader in your own movement and music career path. We have attached on this email our 7 POINT PROGRAM which explains our wants and beliefs regarding radio, Djs, and promotions. We have also attached RULES for joining the movement if you are interested in being a member of Music Emancipation. You will find that our rules are fair and our statements are most common with the concerns of artists. And finally we have a petition attached for those who want a change in radio and would like a MySpace or Facebook to get more involved in the music industry with a radio station and music video station that will level out and diversify the music more. . Well it’s time to stop waiting and vote just like you did to bring Obama in office. And even Obama, told you that if you didn’t vote, he couldn’t do anything. When you fill out the petition you will need to fill out your name , email address , city you live , state you live, and check the appropriate box on your choice of whether you want better radio or not. Music Emancipation will also be having upcoming votes, surveys, petitions, and events in the near future on a lot of other issues that we will be bringing to the forefront. If you want more info please do not hesitate to email me @musicemancipation@gmail.com.
