Officially formed in 2004, "Blac Soap" has been producing innovative and cutting edge music for many years. When Seif and Fly Beads branched off from the classic and ground-breaking hip-hop group "Nowledge of Self," the duo had a vision of creating a music group that would sound like no other…a music group that speaks to the people. Balance is essential in all things.

Seif and Fly Beads experienced very similar childhoods. Both grew up under a very religious and spiritual guidance that would influence them into adulthood. Fly Beads' grandmother was a spiritual teacher who traveled the world spreading inspirational words to people of all colors. Similar to Fly Beads, Seif's father was a powerful minister in the Nation of Islam--traveling state to state teaching empowerment and education to the underserved across the country. With Seif and Fly Beads being raised in such powerful households, it was only natural that these two would one day become great speakers to the masses. The "Thug Hippy Movement" is a collective of artists, activists, musicians, and the everyday man and woman that are fed up with the direction of the world-- politically, economically, morally and musically. "The Thug Hippies" are "street-savvy intelligent individuals, who reject established institutions and values, expressing love while expanding consciousness." Blac Soap's first commercial album release titled "Thug Hippy Thriller" was a musical masterpiece that took years filled with joy, pain, and growing to complete. Every song and every skit on the album has deep meaning to Blac Soap. Each song reflects the real life experiences that Seif and Fly Beads encountered. Songs of heartbreak, songs of love, and songs of self-exploration fill every track. There are no samples on this album, all original music, composed brilliantly by Blac Soap Creativity. Maintaining Blac Soap's uniquely fresh sound, they kept all production and singers in house. Seif's little sister "Dee Dee" performed all the background vocals on the album. This record was a classic before it started!
