"dark, dirty and sexy" Chris Hawkins, BBC 6 Music

"Infectious melodic rockers."The Guardian Guide

"The musical equivalent of all that's dark and dangerous in the best Tarantino movies. A desperate and driving beat, full of sinister twists and bends, and lyrics. echoes of what might have been. This band will break hearts."Mark Watkins, BLAST 1386

".frothy, female-fronted pop punk with a melodic edge, crisp guitars and snappy percussion. Singer Kaytee's vocals move from sweet cries to ravaging growls in seconds, giving the Birmingham band plenty of punch. Imagine The Long Blondes with a sharper edge and less obsession with indie fashion and you're not far off."Jo Vallance, Room Thirteen

"Sinuous in melody and dark in delivery."

James Dannatt, Gigwise

"Bi-Polar Baby have an inherent darkness yet retain sensitivity, they rock out with eclectic nuances that add new dynamics to a catchy pop-rock melee. 'Suicide Girl' is gritty, infectious melodic rock with blatant pop sensibilities"

www.toxicpete.co.uk

"Muddied anthem with an addictive, post-punk shrillness that oozes charisma from start to finish…"www.subba-cultcha.com (about "Suicide Girl")

Suicide Girl is an infectious blast of dark pop rock."

Will Munn, Rhythm & Booze

Bi-Polar Baby are a female fronted five piece band from Birmingham, England. They are masters of sweet, sinuous melodies and evocative arrangements with dark edges, but can also give you vital guitar pop and rock solos worthy of air-guitar tributes. The current lineup is Texan born Kaytee DeWolfe (vocals / lyrics), Pete Moth (guitar), Wayne Page (lead guitar), Jim Perkin-Ball (bass), Julian Forshaw (drums, percussion).

A regular fixture on the Birmingham rock scene, Bi-Polar Baby formed in late 2004 from the ashes of the disbanded band, CrazyFace. The name was taken from one of their songs after dropping the moniker Sedona, having discovered that it was also the name of a (rubbish) car. BPB's songs typically consist of Kaytee's haunting vocals, laden with guts and vibrato, telling stories of lost not-so-little girls and the delusions of modern living. Accompanied by dark electric guitar and undulating bass, they have written a series of unforgettable songs, both epic and catchy, melancholic yet punchy, combining contemporary flair with classic beauty.

All members are experienced musicians. Since 2005, they have played extensively on the Birmingham circuit, finding a spiritual home in Moseley's Jug of Ale. Bi-Polar Baby recently recorded their debut single, "Suicide Girl", with Gavin Monaghan (Editors, The Twang, etc.) at Magic Garden Studios in Wolverhapton. Since then, they have played live in session for BBC WM's "Introducing" show last Dec, enjoyed the support of 6Music DJ, Chris Hawkins and Kerrang!'s 'Unsigned Sunday' show. They toured the UK at the end of 2007 to help promote debut single, "Suicide Girl" and have many dates lined up for 2008.

Suicide Girl, is out now on own label, Blacklustre Records.

It is available for purchase via many online sites (iTunes, Amazon, HMV.com, etc.).
