Bipolar started in May of 2003 in Sacramento. After 4 albums and 5 years of playing over 120 shows throughout California in September 2008 drummer Brian Hanks and vocalist Charlie relocated to Las Vegas. Since their relocation the band picked up Dave Soto on Guitar and Chris Kmit on Bass. Playing out since Feburary of 2009, .bipolar. has played clubs such as the Farm, The Cheyenne, The Aruba, and the Playground at Crazyhorse III. In August the Las Vegas Weekly and the Sun did a feature on the band. They were also played on It Hurst When I Pee on 107.5 fm in early October. .bipolar. has a thunderous sound and a stage presence to match. With driving guitars, gut wrenching vocals and melodic breakdowns they offer a true duality in progressive metal.
.bipolar.'s 2008 release Capacity For Change is available on iTunes, AmazonMp3, Rhapsody, Napster and more.
The band is currently working on a new EP that should be available in early 2010.
"The relatively quiet, unassuming blonde and the rest of Bipolar are prepared to melt everyone's faces off this weekend with the same sweet voice that was once dedicated to choir." - Deanna Rilling, Las Vegas Weekly (Jul 31, 2009)
"Judging .bipolar. at face value is probably just as stupid as spanking a L.A. police officer hoping that it's someone in a costume. Either way you will be wrong, and you will be up for a beating. This female fronted four piece metal act had an undeniable push of energy " - Andrew Fletcher, Powerslave.com (Oct 29, 2004)
"BiPolar started off the festivities with their grueling and sludgy metal sound, while female singer Charlie gave off the estrogen energy with her hypnotic harmonies and bone-crunching screams. " - Melissa Evett, Powerslave.com (Sep 13, 2003)
