Billy Keeble is a well-known name around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. His smooth vocals and easy listening delivery have made him an all time favorite in many of the clubs and lounges and has earned him the name Mr.Country. Born and raised in Tennessee, Billy began singing at the age of 15 in a country band. After a few years of that he branched out to playing in a "Blues Band" then later on to a "Southern Rock Band". It didn't take much of this before he realized his roots were in "Country Music" and he began to learn more in that direction and it remains his choice of music today. As he puts it, "You can't play HAGGARD and JONES without a fiddle and steel." On the advice of a friend he moved to "TEXAS" in 1978 and a few months later he had formed the "Texas Pride Band", and from 1978 to 1990 "Billy Keeble and Texas Pride" were very familiar names throughout Texas and the surrounding states as well. Noted for playing some of the finest country and western swing music that could be heard, he had made many fans throughout this period.

A serious auto accident in February of 1990 took him away from his music for a brief time. Doctors predicted he would never sing again due to vocal problems caused by the accident. Billy couldn't accept that diagnosis and refused to believe his music career was over. His concentrated efforts were rewarded when in July of the same year he was back on stage with his "Texas Pride Band". Not only was he singing again, but he was sounding better than ever. The band broke up shortly after this and Billy began his solo act. One of the best of it's kind in Texas. He sings Willie, Merle, Jones, Top 40, and a list of his own songs. His songwriting is top quality and he continues to write great traditional country songs, which appear on his albums.

In 1995 Billy was one of the first entertainers to be taken to the "Littlefield Denim Festival" to open for "Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash" that year. His great style of singing and easy delivery of the older traditional country tunes as well as his originals and Top 40 made him an instant hit there, with many inquiries about him and compliments on him in the ensuing years. Billy has also opened for other great acts such as "Hank Thompson, Darrell McCall, Johnny Bush, Sammi Smith" and many others.

In July of 99' Billy called on his good friend "Curt Ryle" also a great singer and songwriter to produce his next recording project. They recorded a great CD, "Unchained Country" which features songs like "Shame On Me" written by Billy & Maurice Cloy, "Please, Baby Please" written by Billy and Curt Ryle and a great "waltz" tune "Your Memory Still Takes Control" written by Billy and his wife Diane. The CD was sent to "Europe" where it has reached to 1 in some places there and has also won him such awards as "Album of the Year" in "Germany", "Traditional Country Artist" (European) at the "2000 Gold Music Awards" held in Nashville, TN. in April, plus many other recognitions throughout Europe and the U.S.A.

Billy went on tour to Norway and Denmark in July of 2000 where he has made some great friends and fans. His songs from the Unchained Country CD are going strong, and right now he is in the process of doing his new CD, which is called BILLY KEEBLE "KEEPING IT COUNTRY" with some of the best traditional country music you can find, should be available soon, so be sure you make plans to get this one too.
