Michael is a well known and respected Long Island musician, committed to the accurate reproduction of Billy Joel's repertoire. On any given night Michael and the band will astonish you with versions of other artists including the Beatles, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Journey and many others.
BIG SHOT is comprised of 6 musicians from Long Island and NYC who's collective resumes are a who's who of the music industry. JOHN SCARPULLA on Saxophones/Vocals and Percussion (Michael Bolton, Hall and Oats, Tower of Power and more), WADE PRESTON boards and Vocals from Billy Joel's Tony Award winning Musical on Broadway", KEN CINO on Guitar and Vocals, NICK DIMICHINO on Bass from the band Nine Days and SAL DiVITTO on Drums who is the brother of Billy's longtime drummer Liberty DiVitto.
Making frequent appearances and by special request, BIG SHOT can also be booked with RICHIE CANNATA or MARK RIVERA both from the Billy Joel Band. When you hear one of those signature Billy Joel saxophone leads, that's Richie Cannata. He performed on Billy's albums Songs In The Attic, 52nd Street, Stranger, Glass Houses, Turnstiles, River Of Dreams and 2000 Years-The Millennium Concert. Cannata was the original saxophonist in Billy Joel's band from 1974 to 1985 and recently toured with Billy again in 2006. He also regularly tours with the Beach Boys. Since their formation in 1999 BIG SHOT have created a buzz among Billy Joel fans in the New York City, CT, NJ, PA area; packing BB Kings, The Bottom Line, and The China Club with high energy shows; for an audience liberally sprinkled with fellow musicians, celebrities, and fans alike.
