"Everything great about rock music packed into a two piece band, with more heart than a team of wild marathon runners."

-The Edge Magazine

The members of Big Soy, the reclusive bombastic indie rock duo, have been holed up in their hometown of San Antonio for over a year now, after stints touring as far afield as the UK, Canada, and most recently Ireland. They've played two farewell shows and one reunion, mostly for attention, but also for money, and have released an uncertain number LP's and EP's since 2004. Their irascible singer and guitarist, John Edds (famously referred to as the "Don Rickles of Indie Rock" by the San Antonio Current) and drummer / keyboarder / bootlegger Adam White have a real problem staying focused on the band much of the time, so it flows into and out of consciousness like some sort of gravity-defying river of high-brow howls and animal brilliance.

But in the spring, when the buds push flowers, when it's warm enough for things to rot and smell, Big Soy invariably awakens, like a coffee pot on a long timer, to once again face the pain of modern life in the relative safety of sound.
