Big Red Is an obvious name when you see his massive 6' 5" 280lb structure, but its more than that. Big Red has been moving crowds since 12 years old with childhood friend Craig (DJ Assault) Adams. Their local efforts found them signed to Reality Records (now the infamous D-Bass Records) as Assault-N-Battery. Red then took his talents to Atlanta, GA where he picked up on the bass scene. With early influences such as The Electrifying Mojo, The Wizard (Jeff Mills) and Chicagos HotMix Five, along with Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, Stevie Wonder and Luke it is easy to see how this second generation musician got his accelerated funky style. Big Red spent the late 90s working in Atlanta, GA as a producer/remixer/dj for such names as Too Short, Eric Sermon, Etc. and renovating the Bass scene with the legendary ATL DJ Hershey via 107.9 and 103.3fm. In 2003, Big Red reached back to his roots and helped DJ Assault start Jefferson Ave., LLC. (named after their wild nights spent on that street in Detroit that fueled DJ Assaults earlier hits). There they regenerated DJ Assaults back catalog and struck the Detroit booty scene again with such songs as Bangin The Beat, etc. Since then Big Red is still very much affiliated with Jefferson Ave., LLC and D-Bass Records, but has branched off and launched his own label Big World Entertainment, Inc. Big Red represents the history and future of Detroit dance music and during a gig you will hear anything from booty to bass to techno to house to hip hop, even r&b mixed together at a high-speed booty shakin pace, his creative genius is endless. When the mood hits I just go with it and Im usually not wrong. My Main Objective is to keep the dance floor hype and thats what Ill continue to do All Over The WORLD!!!
