BIO:
Based out of Ohio and representing the "OUT" Hip-Hop and Indie Music community, Bigg Nugg mixes it up with his top-notch production and spit fire lyrics on all types of things ranging from personal struggles to equal rights. A musician since his teenage years, the metamorphosis and transition into the artist known as Bigg Nugg was a natural evolution of talent. His lyrics are filled with reflection, insight, passion, and a yearning for the balance of power in a homophobic society.
Bigg Nugg’s first full Length Album, titled "La Revolucion" was released in spring 2007. The album has tracks produced by Homegrown Music, N1, Tori Fixx, and Bigg Nugg. Special guests on the album include Soce, Delacruz, Deadlee, Q-Boy, Tori Fixx and JFP. The CD was also given an outstanding review in the Winter 07/08 issue of "A Bears Life Magazine".
Bigg Nugg's sophomore release titled "NUGGET". "Volume 1" was released September 2008. Volume 1 is an album about self-love, confidence, empowerment and growth. The album features production by MC Envy, Tori Fixx, Malo Music, and Bigg Nugg.
Bigg Nugg's newest venture "Electro Habitual" is bigger than ever. This time Nugg is changing pace and bring more energy than ever. This electro/hip-hop collection is fully charged, locked and loaded. Each track is fully produced from the beat to post-production by Bigg Nugg. This collection seemed to be its own entity, so Nugg felt they should be grouped and released as one. . This is 5 track EP will feature all the of beats, mixing & mastering production by Bigg Nugg himself.
Several guests appearances are also going to highlight the EP. Lester Greene, Sant1 and Shunda K will appear on the EP, as well as a remix from CHILL from France. Nugg will surely turn heads with his new approach to developing and changing his sound. The album will feature more rock aspects and vocal dynamics incorporated with Hip Hop.
Bigg Nugg has been featured in various blogs from AfterElton.com to Gay365.com. His music has received airplay on stations from Pittsburgh, PA to Houston TX, and was featured in Bear Tracks Compilation CD before his first full length CD was released. Bigg nugg has also been been featured in A Bears Life Magazine and Bear Party Magazine.
Bigg Nugg was one of the Artists that played all ten dates of the historic HomoRevolution Tour, the first ever regional tour of gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered music artists. Tiina Teal from L.A. Records, said in her review of his L.A. performance: "Ohio native Bigg Nugg, one of our personal faves, personified a very KRS-One old-school vibe with his positive, physical energy….”
