"I like the sound of these guys. Lots of good things in this track - the voices, the tempo changes, the good ol' fashioned soft/loud dynamic. Worth sussing out more I reckon."

-Richard Kingsmill, Triple J.

"I like this song a lot. Good vocals, interesting use of time, a band to keep your eye on."

-Scott Dooley, Triple J.

"Heart, energy and attack - what a good song! It starts with a blast and then settles in ('Take Me Out' style). The distinct vocal makes me a believer, and the minimal guitar soaked in reverb works a treat.

-Zan Rowe, Triple J.

In a musical landscape that's so rich and diverse, it takes something special to rise a crowd. Big City Exile are a band that has what it takes. They're passionate musicians with the ability to craft innovative, elegant, energetic and exciting songs that seek to subvert traditional rock conventions. Thriving on dynamics, Big City Exile keep their audience guessing, constantly traversing the peaks and troughs of emotion. The lyrics of singer Mark Forester, are sincere and honest, walking a fine line between personal rumination and stories told with broad brush strokes.

Big City Exile have been performing since February 2005. They've shared the stage with the likes of Kisschasy, The Cops, Something With Numbers, The Spazzys, The Devoted Few, Faker, The Sleep Jackson, The Valentinos, Hell City Glamours, After the Fall, Trial Kennedy, Johnny Boy (UK), and Tambalane, as well as playing in several regional festivals in 2006.

Big City Exile have been played on triple j, as well as receiving rotation on the ABC's Rage music program for the clips "Triangle Song" and "Close Down".
