Beth Orton

'Comfort of Strangers' -- Beth's latest and fourth album -- was recorded in two weeks and features Beth Orton on guitar, piano and harmonica - along with Jim O'Rourke on bass, piano and marimba - and the esteemed American percussionist Tim Barnes on drums.



The 14-track album was recorded at New York's Sear Sound studio in the spring of 2005, with the much-acclaimed musician and composer Jim O'Rourke as producer. O'Rourke -- most recently guitarist and bass player with Sonic Youth -- has previously worked on recordings by such diverse groups and artists as Wilco, Stereolab and the noted American guitarist John Fahey.
