Ben Prok

With a genuine passion for all styles of house music, and an ear for a new trend, Ben Prok always seems to be a step ahead of the game. He’s an inventive DJ with the great asset of versatility, which has seen him rocking crowds nationally and internationally for five years.



The Brighton based DJ took to the decks in 2000 and finds his roots in the influences of Danny Rampling, Carl Cox and Todd Terry. However Ben was quick to develop his own unique style, that has set him apart from the competition. He has been rewarded with a posse of loyal followers, traveling near and far to hear his sets, safe in the knowledge that he will always surprise and never disappoint.



Ben prides himself on an understanding of what makes good house music tick so expect to hear him spinning a range of tunes, from West Coast house through to chunkier, darker sounds. Whatever he's playing you're guaranteed an electrifying set. With his reputation and popularity spreading, Ben’s name has repeatedly featured high on the bill for bookings throughout the UK and internationally.



In Ibiza for June 2002, Ben took an exclusive guest slot at Plastic Fantastic, impressing established Ibizan DJs Tony Oneto and Jonathan Ulysses. This inspiring performance won him a 6 day-week residency lasting the entire season, and a further 5 months in 2003, appearing at some of the islands most celebrated venues, including Eden and Es Paradis.



With a string of successes under his belt, Ben moved to Brighton to consolidate his growing DJ career. He was instantly booked at the nationally renowned Zap and two weeks later landed a residency at the infamous Honey Club. "The Honey has definitely been my favorite residency," says Ben. "I get plenty of opportunity to open up new sounds, playing to an awesome, responsive crowd week in week out." In 2004 Ben made an acclaimed debut at Dusted. No sooner had he finished his set than he found himself booked as sole resident for all future Dusted Brighton events. He followed up his success with a fantastic 2005 and 2006 has seen Ben booked alongside Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo and Pete Tong among others.



Not content with his captive club audience, Ben has now taken his creative mind into the studio forming one half the production & DJ duo “Prok & Fitch” alongside James Fitch. Their first track "The Chant" became an anthem @ Pacha Ibiza throughout 2006 summer, gaining a full release in spring ‘08 on Roger Sanchez's Stealth Label.



Two years from first stepping into the studio, Ben is making serious waves on the the house scene, remixing for the biggest Artists, releasing tracks on world renowned Labels & music supported by the industry's top players. With one foot in the studio and the other behind the decks, the sought after Brighton boy is shaping out a future that will make him a household name.
