Benny is a highly-regarded New York City session guitar player and performer. An NYC native, he began his career at the age of 14, sneaking in to play with Greenwich Village's top musicians Most recently he has been doing session work around New York City, playing guitar on a Graham Nash tune for world-renowned drummer /producer Joe Vitale (Joe Walsh, CSNY) and with the great Mark Hudson (Ringo Starr, Aerosmith, Ozzy Ozbourne, Hudson Bros).
Currently, Benny plays with legendary rockabilly singer Robert Gordon and also Rob Stoner.
Throughout his career, Benny has worked with countless international stars and nationally known musicians. In his early years he played with artists such as Carol King, Mark Knopfler, Chris Spedding, Steve Forbert, Rick Danko (The Band), Henry Gross and the late bass guitar genius, Jaco Pastorius.
He then went on to perform, tour or record with some of the best: Chris Barron (Spin Doctors), Johnny Logan (Ireland), Otis Blackwell, Kenny Aaronson, Anton Fig, Bobby Chouinard, John Regan, Steve Holley, Gary Mallaber, Lee Nestor, Chris Palmaro, Bonnie Bowers, Melissa Cross, Cliff Eberhardt, Jack Sonni, Matts Wilander (Virgin Records Sweden), Dino Danelli (The Rascals),Smashed Gladys,Paul Hipp,Tom Fowler, Being Ron Jeremy Soundtrack (Title Track), Jim Steinman, Blondie Chaplin, NINA, Eric Stuart Band, Jim Keller (Tommy Tutone), Luba Dvorak & The Banned, and Leslie Diamond.
Benny recently played on legendary soul singer, Howard Tate's new CD. In 2000, Benny opened a summer tour of 18 shows for Peter Frampton with the Eric Stuart Band.
