BENJAMMIN was born in London (U.K) and raised in the nearby coastal town of Brighton where he began MCing and singing in the late 80’s with the local roots reggae soundsystem Killa Riddim, growing and learning on the exciting new digital roots and dub of the era. In the early 90’s he co-founded the celebrated and forever kicking Roots Garden club.….
Over the years Benjammin has developed his unique, rich, vocal style, singing over a broad spectrum of musical styles, ranging from deep conscious Roots to sweet Lovers rock ballads, from crowd stomping Raggamuffin to heartfelt Soul.… Benjammin is also a celebrated Saxophonist, funking and jazzing up any music he plays over.…
Based in Barcelona, Spain, since '94, he has been singing, playing and recording with artists, bands and soundsystems from the UK, Spain and all over Europe. His work has taken him to perform in many countries including the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Czech rep. and Switzerland. Performing at many of the continents major festivals and reggae gatherings inc. Rototom (I), Glastonbury,(UK), Popkomm(D), Sonar, ViñaRock, Cultura Urbana(Es), Rio Loco(F). Benjammin has performed hundreds of live concerts playing alongside or supporting many well known and respected artists, including Horace Andy, Asian Dub Foundation, Burning Spear, Anthony B, Frankie Paul, General Levy, Heptones, Bitty Mclean, Carlton Livingston, Alton Ellis, Mad Professor, U Brown, Chukki Starr, African Head Charge and Max Romeo, to name but a few.… Benjammin has also played many summer seasons in Ibiza as the resident saxophonist for Manumission (privilege), Miss Moneypenny (El Divino), Zenith Live (Pacha) and Carry On (Space)….
Benjammin has written, recorded and released over 50 records on styles of music ranging from Reggae, Raggamuffin, Break beat, Dubstep and Drum & Bass. In June 2007 he released his first solo album, Rise Up (Brixton records), to excellent critical acclaim.… and is currently working on his follow up album.… Benjammin currently has several singles on the world market with many more to be released in 2009.….

BENJAMMIN, nacido en Londres,1970,y crecido en Brighton donde empieza ser un MC y cantante con soundsystems de reggae locales en el fin de los ochentas.el ha sido co fundador del celebrado y importante club de reggae Roots Garden en Brighton.
Durante los años el ha desarollando su gran variedad de estilos vocales,de roots profundo a lovers, de raggamuffin a soul. tambien el toca saxo y flauta muy funky hace muchos años.
Basada en Barcelona desde 94 el ha sido cantando,soplando y grabando con artistas,bandas y soundsystems de la UK. y España, y su trabajo ha llevando el a hace conciertos en muchos paises europeos incl. Alemania,Francia,Italia,Holanda,Portugal y Suiza.
Benjammin ha escrito,grabado y lanzado discos con varios artistas y sellos, y ha lanzado su primero solo album Rise Up en Junio 2007.
