- 21st December 2009 - New members and other updates.

As some of you may already be aware we have at last filled the singer-shaped hole our lineup had with the likes of ex-State Of The Enemy vocalist Louis Brown. We've already played a couple of shows with him sessioning and the response has been brilliant and as a result he in now joining full-time. We also have the sexy sexy Jamie Keable joining us on guitar and look forward to writing some kickass stuff with them for 2010.

So it looks like 2010 is going be a sweet year for us, hopefully we'll see a load of you at the new shows we have lined up - lord knows we cant wait to play them.

Also we'd like to say a massive thank you to Open Minded Music for having us on the bill for their Christmas Bash - we have to say all jokes aside it was definitely a highlight of 2009 for all of us.

See you all in 2010!

- 24th November 2009 - Zach has left early so we're looking for a new guitarist now.

Unfortunately, Zach has had to leave Before Silence Falls early due to personal commitments. We would like to wish him good luck with whatever he decides to pursue.

As a result we are making our search for a new guitarist more urgent - we will have people to fill in until we find somebody permanent so our live show will not suffer at all.

As before we are looking for somebody who can play guitar to a high level, and who is committed to the band for practices and gigs (practices are usually once a week). Being able to transport yourself to and from places is an added bonus, but in general, a committed, able guitarist with plenty of creative talent is ideal.

If you think you fall into all of these criteria, come down to one of our gigs, listen to us and have a chat, or drop us a message at beforesilencefalls@hotmail.co.uk or through either the myspace or facebook page.

"Then, Before Silence Falls hit the stage and proceeded to rip the place up. The stage became a dangerous place to be. A band playing as though their lives depended on it, power and energy that would have flattened anything in its path, superb call and response and a mosh pit that echoed and absorbed the energy radiating from the stage. Simply the most passionate and energetic set of the evening with a clear focus on the audence's enjoyment and entertainment turned Before Silence Falls into very worthy winners of the inaugural competition.

At the beginning of the night a member of the audience told me that there was nothing on the Colchester music scene. Now thanks to Tony Morrison and his team there is. The Mayor said that he was 'looking forward to a real discovery from Essex Undiscovered.' That happened too."
