Beati Paoli

Golden Veins is the latest project involving Scott O'Gara, Ryan Meier and Gregory Goode, three lifelong friends from the south side of Des Moines, Iowa who have played together in various units for almost a decade. Their most recent unit was the critically-acclaimed Beati Paoli, a band that embarked on numerous U.S. tours and played alongside such artists as Asobi Seksu, Man Man and British Sea Power, to name but a few. "We all loved playing in Beati Paoli, but having gone through significant line-up changes during that band's run, we felt it was time to create a new identity for our future music projects", explains O'Gara. "This also coincided with a move toward using more sampled sounds, pre-programmed beats and digital loops, so it seemed like the right time to differentiate ourselves from what came before". Now based out of Iowa City, Iowa, the trio have been hard at work on all things Golden Veins, creating a new musical experience for both the aural and live arenas.
