His name represents underestimated talent. “It’s about those unknown songs that were released on the ‘B Side’ of a single.” Since 1998, B-CIDE has dedicated his life to his passion for making music. Born and raised in Utica, New York with Italian roots, B-CIDE has his own unique outlook on hip-hop. “I don’t limit myself to any particular style. I’m not from the city, so my delivery is a lot different.” In 2007, B-CIDE signed with DJ King Assassin through Liferdef/Universal. Months later, the label was put aside by Assassin who was looking to pursue his own solo project. B-CIDE bounced back and returned to being independent. In 2008, B-CIDE made the transition from local to national artist by independently securing the release of his third solo album Free Agent in Best Buy stores. B-CIDE is also distributed through Super D Phantom Distribution worldwide.
With this latest release full of club bangers, hits and pure fire, B shows you a different cide of himself, ranging from in-your-face cuts to personal, intimate tracks revealing details about his life. “This record is an emotional roller-coaster from start to finish. The listeners are definitely in for a ride when they pop in this disc.” On Free Agent, B-Cide collaborated with Strange Music’s newest artist Cognito on the song “We Like To Party.” On tracks like “2008 BC” and “You Can’t Do,” B-CIDE demonstrates his lyrical flexibility, but on tracks like “Step to Me” and “Where I Started From,” he unveils a cide of himself that people rarely get to see. “I wanted to make this album more personal I’m sick of people telling me what I am—I know what I’ve done and I know who I am. Every one of my albums has revealed a little bit more.”
B-CIDE has hit the road for three different tours with Project Born, formerly of Psychopathic Records. With over 11 years in the game, and after performing all over the country, B-CIDE is continually growing as an artist and expanding his fan base even further.
