DESCRIPTION:
A few years ago, we were privileged to host a weekly house music party in Manhattan called Mainframe at Club Alibi. This night was special, as we invited DJ/Producer Bass Rokwell of SoundGroove Records and Muzik Mecca Records to play with us and instead of bringing his usual DJ tools he broke out a set of Groove Boxes. To say that the beats were pumping that night, would be an understatement!!! Here is a short clip from his one hour set, as Bass bangs out a nasty tribal/tech groove.

Mainframe, hosted by Curtis Atchison of Midnight Society & SoundGroove Records, brings true underground electronic music talent to the stage to play exactly how and what they like the most. No playlists, and no requests!!! It provides an intimate, yet inviting setting where fans and artists can mingle, network, and dance to some incredible music. The party is currently in hiatus as we look for a new space to continue... hopefully in 2010.
