Basia Moore is known for her unique 4-octave voice and original interpretation of American Jazz songs. She studied voice, violin and dance.She performs since her early childhood.Recognized as one of Poland's Top Jazz singers, she was the winner of a Grand Prix Award in a Jazz Competition in Warsaw, and at the International Vocalist Competition in Sweden, received the "Audiences Special Award".The Polish Jazz Society honored her with the Special Award for her performance at the Festival of Songs in Opole. She is also
the laureate of another International Vocalist Competition in Lublin.
She toured as the first Polish Jazz Artist in Japan with great success; "The Japanese just love her", Tiro Mitsuni wrote. She also toured to France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, the former Soviet Union, and Thailand, Norway.Because of martial law in Poland, she came to the United States. She quickly gained notice and performed at prestigious venues including Town Hall and Carnegie Hall, as well as many New York jazz clubs. In the US she collaborated with famous violinist Michael Urbaniak ,they recorded still popular and on demand CD- " Basia Moore sings Michael Urbaniak"
